Hey everyone!
Just a quick update to let you know that we just initiated the smoke test for our Pledge Manager. The smoke test is a required test of the pledge manager that opens up to 5% of all backers. The pledge manager will open up for everyone else in the next 24 - 48 hours.
This is your chance to add extra items to your order, and for those of you who get the standard NES-ential Celebration Hardcover, your last opportunity to upgrade to the collector's gold foil edition.

Pledge Manager update August 14th

Hey Everyone. Just another quick update regarding the pledge manager. It’s taking a bit longer than expected for us to open that up. We had a pre-campaign promo and some other things we had to make exceptions in rules for in the back end and that’s been a tad complex.
However it’s 90% ready now and we will have it open soon. Either Thursday or Friday next week. Not to worry there’s still plenty of time.
Production of the book is well underway and looking great. We will share some preview pages with you soon.

Hey everyone, just a quick update on the pledge manager!
We're finalizing a few shipping region details before opening it up. This won’t delay book fulfillment at all. We’re aiming to launch the pledge manager this Friday or early next week. Once it's live, we’ll post another update to let you know.
We’ve also received a lot of questions about the “Pretendo” parody game magnet — the free early bird item. For anyone with a backer number #1225 or higher, the answer is yes, it will be available for purchase.

Late Pledges Coming Online Today

Hi everyone,
We wanted to give you a quick heads-up: our late pledge system was supposed to go live right after the campaign ended, but due to a setup error on our end, it didn’t activate as intended.
We’ve since been in touch with Kickstarter, and they’ve confirmed that they’ll be switching it on for us sometime today—July 3rd.
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience and confusion this may have caused. Thanks so much for your patience and support—we’ll post again as soon as the late pledges are officially live.

We are humbled and overjoyed by all the support this campaign has received. There were those who believed we were wasting our time creating a tribute book dedicated to a 40-year-old console. Yet our conviction has always been unwavering: the NES was not merely a game console—it was a defining chapter of our childhoods, a catalyst for our imaginations, and a cornerstone in the foundation of the home video game industry.
As long as the memory of the NES endures within us, so too does the joy, excitement, and wonderment of video gaming’s formative years. For many of us working in or adjacent to video game production today, it was the ingenuity of the NES that first sparked our creativity and ignited our passion. Its influence has echoed through generations of games and game-makers, shaping not just careers but also friendships, communities, and lifelong passions.
Thanks to you, this campaign has transformed from a nostalgic dream into a vibrant reality. We are excited to bring you this love letter to gaming’s most important console and honored to share this celebration with such an incredible community.
In addition to thanking all of you for making this campaign such a success, we also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many gaming journalists and developers who came together to contribute their insights, stories, and passion.
